Created by Keith Hathaway, Modified on Mon, 13 Jan at 9:32 AM by Keith Hathaway

The Smartank™ 650 system uses a series of filters, including:

  1. Prefilters:

    • Sediment filter
    • Granular activated carbon filter
    • Carbon block filter
  2. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane:

    • Removes up to 98% of impurities.
  3. De-ionising (DI) Filter:

    • Polishes the water to achieve 0 ppm TDS (Total Dissolved Solids).

Replacement Schedule:

  • Prefilters: Should be replaced quarterly or after approximately 25,000 litres of mains water usage.
  • RO Membrane: Replace yearly or after approximately 250,000 litres of processed water.
  • DI Filter Resin: Replace when the TDS reading exceeds 5 ppm or as needed.

Maintenance Recommendations:

  • Perform weekly checks on TDS levels.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly system inspections to ensure filters are operating correctly.
